Glamsmile is a simplified porcelain veneer technique developed in Belgium. It is designed to allow you to have a more affordable smile makeover by introducing efficiencies into the veneering process. These efficiencies save our Houston cosmetic dentists time, which saves you money.

The DenMat Company has entered into a partnership with the Belgian company that developed GlamSmile, and they market it as the LumiTray® technology for placing LUMINEERS®. So, in North America, GlamSmile is essentially LUMINEERS®, bonded on using what is called the Lumitray®, which, as explained below, creates efficiencies that save time and save the patient money.

Just like no-preparation LUMINEERS® bonded with traditional technology, an attractive feature of the GlamSmile technique is that there are no shots or drilling required.

The GlamSmile Procedure

We start by taking a series of photographs of your existing smile, and discussing the smile design and shade of teeth you desire. Then we take an impression of your teeth.

  • As is done with other porcelain veneer systems, a dental ceramist actually fabricates your new smile in porcelain according to our instructions.
  • The difference with GlamSmile is that your case is returned in a proprietary clear tray that holds the veneers. This tray is designed so that your entire smile can be placed on your teeth in one step.
  • Instead of having to place one veneer at a time, the positions of the individual veneers are fixed by the tray, and the entire set can be seated at once. This is what provides the great time savings for us and the cost savings for you.

As is the case with many smile makeover techniques, this technique is not for everyone. Whether or not it will work for you depends on the existing condition of your teeth and gums and your desired outcome.
